HII-MIS, is currently seeking anIntermediate Configuration Management Specialistto work out of theirVirginia Beachoffice.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Reviews engineering documentation, reports, specifications, and drawings to determine documentation and material requirements, ensure compliance with engineering specifications, and to ensure engineering orders reflect latest requirements. Analyzes proposed changes in product design to determine effect on documents such as drawings, test specifications, manuals, and ensures all documents have required approvals. Compiles release packages ensuring all documentation is present. Notifies appropriate departments of any new or updated data. Maintains audit trails. Researches and resolves inconsistencies with design, production, material, or program office.
Job performance requires adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the job. An office work environment is normally encountered. May occasionally require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Qualifications and Experience: Required:
Minimum of eight (8) years of full-time professional experience working in Configuration Management including four (4) years of full-time experience in Configuration Management of modern, large-scale military electronics systems. Modern, large-scale military electronics systems are defined as a system that has been in use during the past ten years.
Knowledge of U.S. Navy surface ship combat systems and embedded training systems such as AN/USQ-T46 (V) BFTT System, AN/USQ-T48 (V) Trainer, AN/USQ-T47 BFTT Electronic Warfare Trainer (BEWT), Simulator/Stimulator Systems (TSSS), Damage Control Training Management System (DCTMS), Navigation Seamanship and Ship handling Trainer (NSST) on various classes of ships.
Strong 3M maintenance background.
HS diploma plus 8 years relevant (DoD/USN) experience.
Travel up to 10% of the time. Preferred:
Experience as ships repair parts petty officer.
Multiple tours on naval ships. Security:

U.S. citizen with current DoD Secret Clearance is required.
