HII-Camber is currently seeking a Senior DRRS Analyst onsite to work out of USSOUTHCOM.
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Readiness Analysts: typically shall assist in providing training, technical guidance and advice to staff and leadership at the Combatant Command level (US Southern Command), its 5 component commands, 3 Joint Task Forces and 8 Security Cooperation Offices (at US Embassy locations in Latin America). The contractors will regularly assist in briefings to Generals and Flag Officers, as well as conducting regular coordination with Joint Staff and the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). They assist in the preparation and coordination of the command-wide monthly readiness assessment. They will conduct a hands-on, 3-day, Joint Staff-certified course on the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS). They will also participate and help prepare SOUTHCOM leadership for high level forums at the 3 and 4-star level. Experience, knowledge, communication skills and stature to interface at this level and in these strategic level forums is required. Requires communications skills and sufficient understanding of military operations to assist senior military officers in identifying and clearly describing key issues affecting unit readiness at the operational and strategic level, as well as related risk and impacts on the command's missions.
Experience and Requirements
All Senior Readiness Analysts shall be citizens of the United States and shall able to read, speak, write, understand and communicate English at the Masters degree graduate level.
Shall possess basic knowledge of the SOUTHCOM AOR and its mission, with requisite skills, knowledge, experience, and aptitude to perform the duties above.
Shall either be pre-trained and experienced with the DRRS system or acquire/demonstrate acceptable proficiency to use and instruct DRRS within 3 months of hire; and will be evaluated as to accuracy of presentations/instruction of DoD certified course material and DRRS User Manual.
Experience with Readiness Reporting and DRRS is desired.
Shall have worked at the GS 13/14 equivalent level, or military equivalent, or higher;
Shall possess experience teaching/instructing/training in any area;
Shall possess at least 2 years' experience at any higher headquarters (desired HQ SOUTHCOM, Joint Staff, another Geographic Combatant Command or SOUTHCOM subordinate command).
Shall possess military operational background with a minimum of 15 years of military experience.
All personnel must have excellent attention to detail for auditing reports.
Must have excellent communication skills in assisting staff in writing and revising reports and briefings.
Must have an understanding of military functions and missions in order to help staff identify and clearly describe readiness issues, their impacts and potential fixes.
Shall possess experience in military planning
Shall possess a current SECRET security clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Shall possess a Masters degree in Management, Business, International Relations, or related field.
Shall be a graduate of one of the US Military Intermediate Service Schools (Senior Service School desired)
Shall possess a working knowledge of MS WORD, EXCEL, and POWERPOINT.
May be required to travel; travel will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
