HII-Camber is currently seeking a Joint Task Force Headquarters (JTF-HQ) Coordination Specialist to work onsite at USSOUTHCOM, FL.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Support the USSOUTHCOM Joint Training and Exercise Enterprise by providing subject matter expertise, administrative management, and coordination of the USSOUTHCOM Joint Task Force Headquarters (JTF-HQ) readiness program. Support the readiness of the capable JTF-HQs by administering the training program and synchronization of the JTF-HQ readiness process. Serve as the USSOUTHCOM staff representative for matters concerning JTF-HQs training and certification, provide liaison between HQ USSOUTHCOM, JTF-HQ, and Joint Staff JTF-HQ training personnel. Specifically, the support contractor will (but not limited to):
Review proposed technical support plan for JTF-HQ development
Serve as the coordinator at designated JTF-HQs certification/culminating event exercises
Assist designated JTFs in formulating their own joint training plans
Provide technical support to assist in the design, coordination, and publication of JTF-HQ supporting readiness products
Review Service Component JTF-HQ training and capability assessments in Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)
Coordinate resources in support of workshops, training and exercise activities and support, through exercise planning/execution
Provide monthly progress reports which detail progress and/or issues
Serve as action officer for all JTF-HQ training matters to include: rewriting and updating USSOUTHCOM Instructions, writing information/decision papers regarding JTF-HQ training matters, briefing and conducting in-progress reviews as required.
Applicant will be required; travel will be reimbursed in accordance to the Joint Travel Regulation (JTF).
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicant must possess operational experience, working knowledge of joint operation staff functions, and be familiar with military training, Service capabilities, and joint operations.
Joint exercise planning experience and first-hand knowledge/experience with JTF operations/missions and doctrine required.
Applicant must have experience assigned to or working at the CCMD headquarters level, and experience in JTF training and certification processes.
Must have the ability to work independently in formulating detailed, long-range joint training plans, develop information and decision papers, and brief senior leaders in areas of subject matter expertise.
Familiarity with the Joint Training System, Universal Joint Task List, Joint Missions Essential Task Development, Defense Readiness Reporting System, and the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) is a must.
All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
