HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a Cyber Weapon System Standards & Evaluations (Stan/Eval) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to work out of their Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, TX office.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

  • Establish emerging Stan/Eval organization and processes and support cyberspace exercise and training within the Air Force’s full-spectrum cyberspace operations domain.Assist in the development and integration of proof of concepts for cyber effects into battle staff-, cyber-focused exercises, and/or validation events.

  • Support AFLCMC/WNS cyber-security M&S-related efforts at 24 AF, other units in the San Antonio, TX area (e.g., AETC, Randolph AFB), and higher headquarters.

  • Support Cyber Training Initiative (CTI) initiatives at USSTRATCOM (Offutt AFB, NE), LVC-OT efforts at DMOC-S (Schriever AFB, CO), AFSPC (Peterson AFB, CO), and JSTF initiatives.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts at 24th AF units, AFLCMC, USSTRATCOM, DMOC-S, ACC and the Intel Community.

  • When engaged with a DoD related exercise/event, provide support to the Joint Event Life Cycle process. During the Execution Phase, travel significantly for planning and execution and monitor and report on the progress of the simulation(s) to ensure the simulated training exercises/events provide a realistic presentation for the intended audience. Solicit, collect, and identify user requirements and report to AFLCMC and 24 AF and track to make the necessary changes and facilitate integration into the exercise.

  • Provide oversight and guidance for Stan/Eval functions in lower echelon units.Coordinate on and process applicable AF Forms 847 through Stan/Eval.

  • Augment other AF stake holders when requested; some travel will be necessary.Observe mission execution and administer objectivity evaluations to chiefs of Stan/Eval or senior Stan/Eval crews in lower echelon units and in AFRC/ANG units.

  • Review and approve MQFs and evaluation criteria.

  • Review and coordinate on lead MAJCOM-provided guidance.

  • Support the certification process for Air Force cyber teams.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Education and experience

  • Associate of Science Degree in M&S, Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems, Network or Software), Computer Science or IT with at least 4 years of technical experience

  • Or a non-technical Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6 years of technical experience

  • Or a Bachelor’s of Science Degree or higher in M&S, Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Systems, Network or Software), Computer Science or IT with at 2 years of M&S technical experience

  • or 10 years of M&S technical experience

  • Two years of demonstrated supervisory experience in Cyber Crew Stan/Eval programs and/or cyber weapon system operations experience.

  • Experience planning, coordinating, executing, and participating in major exercises/events.

  • Experience performing staffing work at the NAF, MAJCOM, Combatant Command (CCMD), or Federal Agency/Bureau level.

  • Demonstrated Cyberspace Operations, Cyber Protection, Cyber Red Team, or CVA/Hunt experience


  • DoD Directive 8570.1M IAT-III certified.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

  • Experience briefing senior Government officials.

  • Knowledge of M&S/LVC Cyberspace Ranges, cyber techniques, tools, and exercises.


  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.

  • Candidate must have an active Top Secret DoD clearance with SCI eligibility.
