HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist - Intermediate to work in the Huntsville, AL area.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, provides support to end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications, and hardware. Handles problems assigned to first-tier of help desk support. May interact with network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.

  • Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends process and systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise. Escalates more complex problems to Senior Level.

  • Respond to requests for assistance via telephone calls, web submissions, and e-mail messages from customers with computer, software, and communications problems.

  • Assist in management of service requests, including receiving, logging, routing, resolving trouble calls and emails, and follow-up reporting. Track all actions, findings and recommendations in a customer relationship management system and submit required reports.


  • High school diploma plus 2 years of relevant college studies OR 1 year of experience in a DoD or corporate Help Desk environment.

  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and cooperation in a fast paced, group environment

  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance prior to start.

Preferred –

  • Two years of directly related experience in Army or DoD environment preferred.

  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification

  • Computing environment (desktop OS) certification. Examples: MCITP (Enterprise Desktop Support Technician), A+, MCDST, MCP or HDI Desktop Support Technician


  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance prior to start.

  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
