HII-Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a Proposal Coordinator to work out of their Fair Lakes/Fairfax office. We are looking for a proactive, customer focused, team player; who is a good communicator, detail oriented, and able to interact with all levels of personnel in the Company.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

Candidate will be required to support the proposal development process through interaction with the HII Proposal Development organization, HII Operational entities, and team members.

The Proposal Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day coordination of the proposal process, including control and supervision of all aspects of the proposal scheduling and production efforts. The coordinator is the principal point of contact between the proposal team and the production team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the US Government proposal environment, with responsibilities for coordinating and preparing proposals.

  • Capable of working under tight deadlines, with the flexibility to work on several projects concurrently

  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and coordinating proposal development processes working with different department leads and team members.

  • Familiarity with the federal contract bid process and requirements, the Government task order and RFP development process, and how proposals are evaluated.

  • Must be able to coordinate the production services (word processing, graphics, editing, proofreading, reproduction, collation, binding, and delivery) in support of the proposal.

  • Must be able to work as the single point of contact between the proposal team and production team.

  • Must be able to assist Proposal Manager in maintaining the proposal development schedule, configuration control, planning/control documents, tag-up meeting minutes and action item lists, and baselined outline.

  • Must be familiar with virtual proposal development, working with geographically dispersed teams.

  • Must be able to coordinate various support functions (pricing, subcontracts, contracts, clerical support) contributing to proposal development as well as coordinating desktop publishing and graphics requirements and staff.

  • Must be able to assist in drafting portions of the proposal (e.g., introductions, related experience, resumes, etc.).

  • Must be able to monitor page allocations and assist with editing requirements.

  • Must be able to coordinate and direct proposal publication, including final book-check and proposal packaging for delivery through printing.

  • Must be able to develop production schedule, level of effort required, critical-path items, current status, expectations, etc. to deliver the final proposal.

  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office applications to support proposal desktop publishing, and produce reports, presentations, correspondence, and a variety of other materials as needed.

  • Experience with Adobe suite tools, MS SharePoint, and VPC a plus.

Preferred –

  • Capable of professional interaction across all levels of personnel, including executive leadership, former military personnel, external partners, and technical subject matter experts.

  • Excellent time and resource management skills.

  • Excellent management skills to facilitate results across functional groups and organizations, including geographically dispersed organizations, and across many types of professions.
