HII Mission Driven Innovative Solutions Inc. (HII-MIS) provides mission-critical engineering and technical service to Information Technology, Federal Civilian, and National Security, Aerospace & Defense and International government and commercial customers at over 100 locations worldwide.

HII-MIS is currently seeking an Engineer/Scientist to work out of their Corpus Christi office.

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

  • Support government engineers with expert advice, analysis, research and technical guidance.

  • Develops technical concepts, plans for implementation, monitors technical progress, designs tests, assesses performance data, and develops solutions to technical problems.

  • Authors, edits, contributes to production of technical reports and other technical products, such as overall project concepts and descriptions, test plans, and technical reports.

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant scientific principles, application methods/procedures, and integration of same into engineering projects using systems, software, electrical, mechanical or civil engineering practices.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.

  • Seven to ten years of engineering experience.

  • Knowledge and experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, depot repair manuals, and technical data for repair development and design.

  • Component level engineering/maintenance experience

  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently; able to understand, anticipate, and act on the requirements of senior leaders.

  • Strong oral communication and listening skills.

  • Strong ability to write detailed technical substantiation analysis, reports, and briefings.

  • Competence in MS Office and related computer skills.


  • Current Active DoD Security Clearance

  • Depot level maintenance engineering experience in support of Army rotary aircraft.


  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.

  • All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening per HII requirements.
