HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a Joint Training System Specialist - PACOM to work out of their Camp Smith, HI office. Joint exercise planning experience, preferably including Combatant command or Service Component headquarters level. Operational background a must. Familiarity with the Joint Training System, Universal Joint Task List, Joint Missions Essential Task Development, joint operations and staff activities. Must be able to absorb, refine and articulate policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient conduct of joint training and assist with the Requirements, Plans, Execution, and Assessment of the Joint Training System. Serve as an Event Team Lead and maintain all required exercise requirements in the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS). Must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in MS Office applications. Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance. Applicant will be required to travel throughout the Asia Pacific region. Travel will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).

Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):

J325 Operational Capability Assessment (OCA) Program Coordinator/Joint Training System Specialist represents the joint training system to primarily designated-joint task forces (JTFs) as delineated by USPACOMINST 0530.1 USPACOM Command Relations (currently eight three- and four-star headquarters). USPACOM staff representative for all matters concerning JTF training and certification. Liaison between JTF training and exercise personnel, USPACOM HQs and Joint Staff (JS) J7 Deployable Training Team (DTT).

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

  • Coordinate training resources (primarily subject matter experts (SMEs) to support joint training requirements/preferences of JTFs going through the OCA process for certification, or if feasible, out of cycle training events.

  • Coordinate training resources for training of JTF personnel to allow readiness reporting (via the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS)) and training management (via the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS)). This necessitates having DRRS and JTIMS access.

  • Provide input to USPACOM battle rhythm events as necessary to promulgate JTF-related policies and procedures with respect to training. Provide direct input to the USPACOM Readiness Review Board and Readiness Review Forum through a Designated JTF Readiness Roll-up slide with information derived from DRRS reports from the JTF HQs themselves.

  • Provide input to the J37-published exercise directives for exercises being used for OCA purposes. Coordinate regularly with J37 exercise planners to ensure OCA equities are represented in appropriate exercises.

  • Serve as action officer for all JTF training matters that require AO tasks, to include scheduling OCA mission training assessment briefings between JTF commanders and the COMUSPACOM, rewriting and updating USPACOMINST 0029.2 OCA and JTF Training, writing information/decision papers regarding JTF training matters, briefing and conducting in-progress reviews as required to senior USPACOM leadership.

  • Travel to designated JTF HQs to present program expectations and requirements. Coordinate staff assistance visit (SAV) team participation and schedule the various aspects of the SAVs. Serve as the OCA coordinator at designated-JTF certification/culminating event exercises. Ensure observation needs are met, senior mentor participation is socialized and coordinated with the designated JTF HQs, life support/work spaces for observation team is coordinated, Use the information gathered in the process to assist designated JTFs in formulating their own joint training plans.

Security:

  • Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
