HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support the U-2 Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) Mission Planning Cell (MPC) program to work out of Beale Air Force Base, California with potential travel to other continental United States (CONUS) or overseas (OCONUS) locations as directed by the 99thReconnaissance Squadron Commander (99 RS/CC).
The U2 ISR MPC Cyber Security Specialist shall provide analytical, advisory, technical expertise and analysis to U-2 MPC and 99 RS activities. The Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of global MPC cyber systems. The Cyber Security Specialist will address the technical implementation of MPC and cross-domain solution (CDS) technologies. Plan, execute, and report on MPC system configurations and deploy new capabilities, as required. Analyze new Cyber threats, provide technical guidance to mitigate threats, and interpret and develop approaches to meet the intent of new Cyber policy as it impacts MPC systems. Perform vulnerability scanning and reporting of system configurations for Windows and UNIX-based operating systems. Maintain a secure and updated system baseline configuration to support system fielding requirements for multiple current and future system variants. Interface with system components to integrate with new data types and test component operations. Maintain the performance and operation of the MPC and provide training and test environments commensurate with real world scenarios.
Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not be limited to the following):
Ensure 24/7/365 integrity and security of global MPC cyber systems.
Ensure all electronic technical data, regulations, and instructions are current on all electronic systems and physical storage locations.
Provide analytical, advisory, and technical support to 99 RS/CC and MPCC.
Analyze and evaluate MPC mission planning software, software tools, and associated support systems to recommend changes and upgrades to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Identify, communicate, and resolve/recommend solutions to known and/or technical deficiencies.
Research, identify, and/or innovate technologies, processes, and/or procedures for implementation in MPC operations.
Attend meetings as directed by the 99 RS/CC and MPCC.
Represent the IT Lead at working groups as a recognized subject matter expert (‘SME’) on MPC technologies and capabilities.
Maintain NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS accounts.
Provide input to the IT Lead regarding accomplishments/challenges in performing required tasks/subtasks.
Assist in the maintenance and integration of new technologies introduced to the MPC.
Security Management: Comply with and enforce National, Department of Defense (DoD), and Air Force security policies and directives, including: (1) both verbal and written reporting procedures; (2) deterrence, detection, isolation, containment, and recovery from information system and network security intrusions.
Subtasks – Cyber Security Specialist Specific< >rovides technical leadership for cyber security and trusted systems technology.Design, develop, test, and document cryptographic products, trusted networks, database management systems and telecommunications subsystems.
Research and make recommendations regarding cyber security policies, certification and accreditation reviews, security test and evaluation reports, trusted computing base architectures, and security engineering practices and processes.
Lead cyber security engineering tasks including MPC policy development, asset and risk assessment, security specifications/architecture/plan development, digital signature systems development and/or installation, key and certificate management, trusted computing base implementation/support, systems Certification & Accreditation support, and hands-on development/operation of pilot/prototype information security applications.
Conduct analyses of the current DoD information security architecture and reports comparative assessments of alternate approaches.
Design, develop, debug, test, document, and maintain MPC security applications.
Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of MPC enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
Support cyber security initiatives through both predictive and reactive analysis, articulating emerging trends to leadership and staff.
Coordinate resources during enterprise incident response efforts. Drive incidents to timely and complete resolution.
Source, install, maintain, and employ advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack modeling and reconstruction – including dead system analysis and volatile data collection and analysis.
Perform network traffic analysis utilizing raw packet data, net flow, IDS, and custom sensor output as it pertains to the cyber security of communications networks.
Reviews threat data from various sources and develops custom signatures for Open Source IDS or other custom detection capabilities.
Correlates actionable security events from various sources including Security Information Management System (SIMS) data and develops unique correlation techniques.
Uses understanding of attack signatures, tactics, techniques and procedures associated with advanced threats. Develops analytical products fusing enterprise and all-source intelligence.May conduct malware analysis of attacker tools providing indicators for enterprise defensive measures, and reverse engineer attacker encoding protocols.
Interfaces with external entities including law enforcement organizations, intelligence community organizations and other government agencies within the Department of Defense.
Qualifications and Experience:
General Required Qualifications:
Be a U.S. citizen.
Maintain a current passport throughout the Period of Performance for this TO.
Obtain all entry/exit visas for countries as required for work performance.
Pass a standard physical examination that includes, at a minimum: medical history, height, weight, blood pressure, HIV antibody, and chest x-ray.
Be physically capable of performing tasks outlined in Duties and Responsibilities Section above.
Have all required immunizations prior to OCONUS travel.
Comply with all security requirements as outlined the contract Statement of Work (SOW).
Be willing and able to work in a demanding, high-stress environment.
Specific Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, or similar.
Significant experience as a Cyber Security Specialist.
Access to DoD Information Systems will be required to perform contract duties. At the time of contract award, the Cyber Security Specialist must possess a valid, current certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M. The certification must be one of the following: Security+ CE (or higher), SSCP, or GSEC. Must be maintained throughout the contract Period of Performance for this TO.
Significant experience with integrating and securing C4ISR systems.
Ability to analyze IP packet captures with tools.
Significant experience with computer security concepts.
Significant experience with networking, system administration and security.
Significant experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems, to include command-line tasks and scripting.
Significant experience with analyzing and investigating computer network intrusions.
Significant experience with malware analysis.
Significant experience with conducting data analysis
M.S or PhD. in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Information Systems, or similar.
CISSP certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
Experience with Link-16 and other 4th and 5th generation datalinks.
Knowledge of tactical radio configuration, use, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Line-of-Sight and Beyond Line-of-Sight communications.
Knowledge of open architectures.
Knowledge of multi-domain systems.
