HII-Camber is currently seeking a Mid Level Facility Systems Technician – General to work out of Bagram, Afghanistan . This position is contingent upon contract award.
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facility Systems Technician – General shall:
Perform mid/senior level of services to Area 82 systems consistent with the Density List, including but not limited to, the following:
US licensed or have military equivalency
Perform preventive maintenance of electrical, fire detection and alarm, voice broadcasting, mechanical and plumbing systems as recommended by the equipment manufacturer and by DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Army Technical Manuals (TM).
Perform periodic equipment inspections to identify and monitor symptoms which indicate that mechanical failure of a piece of equipment may be approaching. Predictive maintenance shall include notifying the Chief Facilities Engineer (CFE) of suspected impending equipment failure.
The Facility Systems Technician – General may also perform support activities in the deployed/travel environment in which all unit/team members are expected to participate in common duties. Examples of these duties include, but are not limited to:
Destruction and Disposal (e.g. burning, shredding, melting, mutilation of materials)
Common Area Cleanup (e.g. Pack, move, unpack equipment/materials; Disassemble, setup, move equipment/furniture; trash removal)
Workplace/Facility Safety (e.g. Support safety inspections through preparation and conduct; participate in fire/other safety drills; attend safety briefings)
Security (e.g. local escort support)
Hardening (e.g. Prepare facility against hostile actions; fill sandbags)
Qualifications and Experience:
Twelve Eight (8) years minimum experience/Six (6) years specialized experience
1 year working in the deployed environment
Shall have a US license, or military equivalency, in applicable facility maintenance discipline.
High School or equivalent
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proven success working on teams
Skill in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
General carpentry; and/oreneral construction skills
Able to maneuver in small spaces and lift up to 50lbs.
Supports customer systems on site whenever and wherever deployed. Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments. Security:

Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport
Candidate must possess Top Secret Clearance
