HII-Camber is currently seeking a Logistics Technician (MID)– Warehouse Services to work out of Bagram, Afghanistan . This position is contingent upon contract award.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required of all personnel within this position. Duties and Responsibilities

The Logistics Technician – Warehouse Services shall perform senior level services in warehouse operations of IC equipment and supplies, including but not limited to, the following:

  • Obtain and maintain Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) handling certifications in accordance with the DTR.

  • Receive and inspect all incoming property, supplies and equipment.

  • Have licensed operator for MHE on site; examples include: forklifts up to 15K, 5 ton trucks, and 30 passenger busses.MHE varies by location.

  • Inspect and ensure proper handling of hazardous material and provide certifications per the DTR.

  • Prepare receiving reports and maintain receipt of goods by IC customers and Reports of Discrepancy as required.Coordinate with the Government any discrepancies for corrective actions.Make recommendations on appropriate corrective actions.

  • Develop catalog records for newly received property, supplies and equipment.

  • Perform all functions required within an inventory control system to include but not limited to requisition receipt processing, issuing and storage of supplies, materials and equipment in support of the NGA/IC mission.

  • Assist the Government in managing a facility for the receipt, issuance, storage and accountability of property and equipment.

  • Prepare appropriate documentation for issuance of supplies and equipment.

  • Send notification of cargo/equipment arrival to authorized customers within 48 hours and update status within the NGA Supply/Requirements tracking portals

  • Properly account for all property, supplies and equipment.

  • Prepare for shipment, supplies and equipment, to include preparation of appropriate paperwork and accounting documents as required.

  • Package (ensuring air worthiness), certify, transport, and prepare all shipping documents and ensure hazardous material compliance with AFMAN 24-204 and the Defense Transportation Regulation.

  • Package, manifest, and mark general and special handling cargo in accordance with AMC 24-101

  • Assign and attach Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags to all sensitive and property book shipments.Annotate tag number on DD Form 1149 to maintain positive control while cargo transits the airlift system.

  • Exercise appropriate knowledge and skills, placing items in storage using applicable DOD guidelines for storage activities.

  • Assist Government Logistics Lead with bi-weekly inventories of supplies and equipment in storage, to include bar code and serial number verification.

  • When directed by the Government to dispose of property, ensure it is done within assigned support channels, e.g. Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO), and that proper documentation is returned to the Property Accountability Officer to support the turn-in/audit trail.

  • In the event Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) is provided to the Contractor, the Contractor shall manage it in accordance with NGA Instruction for Property Management, NI7410.4R8.

  • Contractor personnel performing deployment duties shall be responsible for completing standards tours of 180 consecutive days per deployment, at a minimum.

  • Contractor personnel may be subject to working in harsh or hostile conditions. Contractor personnel must also be willing and able to live in temporary facilities (e.g. tents, warehouses, portable shelters.)

  • The Contractor shall perform support activities in the deployed/travel environment in which all unit/team members are expected to participate in common duties.Examples of these duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Additional Duties:

  • Destruction and Disposal (e.g. burning, shredding, melting, mutilation of materials)

  • Common Area Cleanup (e.g. Pack, move, unpack equipment/materials; Disassemble, setup, move equipment/furniture; trash removal)

  • Workplace/Facility Safety (e.g. Support safety inspections through preparation and conduct; participate in fire/other safety drills; attend safety briefings)

  • Security (e.g. local escort support)

  • Hardening (e.g. Prepare facility against hostile actions; fill sandbags)

Qualifications and Experience:

Required- Eight (8) years minimum experience/Six (6) years specilaized experience

  • Certificate Training from Military Service or Technical School

  • High School or equivalent

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Proven success working on teams

  • Skill in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Preferred-

  • Desired: AFSC 2T or MOS 88 Series training Security:

  • US Citizenship required

  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport

  • Candidate must possess Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. (An individual is deemed to be SCI Eligible when they have a current Top Secret investigation favorably adjudicated for access to SCI.)
