Network Administrator

Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years’ experience in designing, installing, maintaining and supporting Network Operating Systems, routers, switches, network monitoring tools, wireless equipment, PIX/ASA firewalls, and IDS voice technologies including VOIP, QOS, LAN’s, Fiber, VLAN, WAN, SSL/IPSEC VPN connections, and remote access systems. At least 3 years’ experience creating plans and evaluating existing network and phone systems and makes recommendations for modifications and enhancements using current or emerging technologies. Provides technical, networking expertise/solutions to other CIS department teams. Helps ensure adequate design, capacity options, configuration and standards and architecture to ensure IT Security compliance with internal standards and external requirements.

Must have minimum Cisco CCNA, CCNP and/or VOIP certifications a plus.

Must have an understanding in, Microsoft Servers, Active Directory, Web Services, DNS and Exchange.

The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Job Duties:

  • Design, configure, deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Palo Alto, CISCO, F5 and other vendor based network technologies in a large production environment.

  • Leverage professional experience and education to identify network concerns that if left unaddressed would impact the reliability of the corporate network.

  • Troubleshoot application/network issues.

  • Knowledge of carrier based services including Fiber, T1, PRI, DSL/CATV, MPLS, monitoring those services and implementing new services in new offices.

  • Remain aware of emerging network security threats, help asses risks, make recommendations and implement security enhancing changes.

  • Working hands-on with router, switch, wireless, VPN, IDS and CISCO JOS.

  • Working knowledge of VOIP technologies and QOS configurations over WAN/LAN configurations.

  • Understanding of VPN networking including IPSEC, SSL and DMVPN.

  • Understanding, provisioning and maintenance of complex routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP & OSPF.

  • Familiarity of SNMP based network management systems coupled with Netflow collectors & analysis.

  • Understanding, provisioning and maintenance of VLAN topologies, Spanning-Tree and Trunking protocols.

  • Must be able to work outside standard hours of operations, some travel and occasional weekend work.
