Application of the ICD 503, DCID 6/3, DoD 8500 and other relevant security standards along with industry best practices to the evaluation of all aspects of the systems including operating systems, hardware, network configurations, and software applications. Security test and evaluation support through creation, review and evaluation of test procedures as well as testing tools and techniques. Use of a wide range of tools to perform systems and network testing including COTS, GOTS, and open source. Use industry best practices in penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and defensive security engineering.
