Camber is seeking a Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF) Systems Engineer for the Air Force Live, Virtual, and Constructive Training Environment for Command and Control (LVCTE-CC) in the Air Force Agency for Modeling and Simulation.

Statement of Requirements: The goal of the Air Force LVC Training Environment for Command & Control (LVCTE-CC) is to enable an LVC Integrated Training Environment (ITE) that approximates a realistic operating environment to support Air Operations capabilities for the purpose of providing training and mission rehearsal for individuals, units, leaders, and staffs.

The LVCTE-CC Capabilities Development Document (CDD) defines the LVC capabilities and attributes in order to support Strategic to Tactical Level air operations C2, space, missile, logistics, special operations, airbase operations and cyberspace training. LVCTE-CC will be a modular collection of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capabilities that forms the operational level enabling architecture (foundation) for the US Air Force’s constructive and limited virtual capability in support of Joint and USAF LVC-Operational Training (LVC-OT). The intent is replace the current Air Force Modeling & Simulation Training Toolkit (AFMSTT) due to identified critical shortfalls and the aging software infrastructure of AFMSTT.

Requirements: Support AFAMS Foundations Support Division by providing data and technical analyses documentation to the government required by the LVCTE-CC CDD.

Effort 1 : Review, update, rescope and provide a draft IA-ASLVCE Capability Based Assessment Concept Characterization Technical Description (CCTD) for the CDD.

Effort 2 : Provide architecture products for the CDD. These will be produced in the DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF) format. Specifics views that will be required:

  • Enterprise views:

  • Update as-is AV-1, AV-2, OV-2, OV-3, OV-5, SV-1 and TV-1

  • NGA CDD views: AV-1, AV-2, OV-2, OV-3, OV-5, SV-1, TV-1, OV-4, OV-6c, SV-2, SV-4, SV-5, and TV-2

Effort 3: Develop a draft Technology Development / Integration Strategy (TDS)

Effort 4: Review, update, rescope & provide a draft Systems Engineering / Integration Plan (SEP). Plan should include the following items:

  • Key Performance Parameters (KPP) & Key System Attributes (KSA)

  • Integration with other service and joint environments / federations

  • Integration to real world systems – new and emerging C2ISR technologies

  • Live, virtual and constructive integration capability

  • Certification, accreditation and Risk Management Framework

  • Modular construct and functionality of LVCTE-CC

Desired Experience/qualifications:

A subject matter expert in the area of DODAF creation, documentation and archiving.

DODAF Certification with 2-5 years of related systems engineering experience.

Clearance: Secret. The selected applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Travel Requirements: Travel will be required.
