Successful candidate will have strong and current history of joint training support and interaction, and understand the challenges and equities inherent at both the national and operation levels. Service operation & joint operations experience. Candidate must be proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe, have excellent written and oral communication. Candidate will be required to travel; travel will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Must have and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret Security clearance.

The candidate shall provide expertise on the policy, plans, procedures, actions, and milestones necessary for efficient planning, development, execution, and evaluation of Combatant Command Joint training in accordance with regulatory guidance. The candidate shall support the analysis/improvement of USSOUTHCOM Joint Exercise program (JE) and the implementation of the joint training system to improve Joint readiness. The candidate will work as a member of a Joint Training Team and shall analyze/support the policy, plans, procedure, actions and milestones necessary for efficient conduct of joint training. The candidate shall provide expert advice to the Commander/director on the four Phases of the CJCS JTS: Requirements, Plans, Execution, and Assessment. The candidate shall have a working knowledge of the Joint Training System and the organizational operating procedures as well as familiarity with policies, plans, and procedures defined in reference documents. The candidate shall support the commander/direct in the establishment, revision and execution of a comprehensive, organization-wide Joint training program and working on various projects that involve aspects of joint training. The candidate shall provide support to enable JTIMS utilization during the Requirements, Plans, Execution and Assessment phases of the JTS; support USSOUTHCOM headquarters and C/JTFs in developing and identifying training objectives for each of the METL tasks for designated exercises or training events; support implementation of the plans process identified in JTS Phase II (plans phase) in the development of an organizational Joint Training Plan (JTP) and a Joint Training Schedule, with specific emphasis in supporting training objective (TO) workshops; support development and coordination of Collection Management Plan (CMP) for designated USSOUTHCOM exercised; support populating JMSEL tool with required data/information for designated exercises and support even team leads with JTIM even data entry/updates for designated exercises.
