Camber Corporation Database Administrator (DBA) 16087 in Memphis, Tennessee

Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Determining the cause of problems both in terms of functionality and performance, to include providing after action reports with root cause analysis

  • Identifying corrective actions for database issues

  • Coordinating database solution implementation

  • Providing end-to-end support for build and deployment activities

  • Conducting data migrations across the various environments

  • Providing support for Configuration, Change, and Release Management (CCRM) activities

  • Provide on-call problem resolution and support

  • Performance tuning of database instances across various applications

  • Creating database schemas and associated configurations

  • Creating scripts to support DB creation and related activities

  • Generating and maintaining scripts to automate common operations & maintenance tasks

  • Providing end-to-end support for production and alternate production deployment activities

  • Troubleshooting database related issues across environments

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience (focus in technical field a plus, for example: engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field) plus at least 7 years of professional experience

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with Oracle 11g and 12c Enterprise Database

  • Must have strong experience in Oracle RAC, ASM and Performance Tuning

  • Experience with Linux Operating systems and shell scripting

  • Experience monitoring and managing Oracle performance using Oracle OEM

  • Excellent analytic, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills

  • Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills

  • Ability to analyze complex and large amounts of data

  • Strong communications skills (both verbal & written)

Security Requirements

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a Green Card and have been living in the U.S. for at least the last five years

  • Must not have traveled outside of the United States for more than 180 days in the last five years
