Camber Corporation Server Administrator - 15783 in Huntsville, Alabama
This position reports directly to the Manager of Network Operations and will be a member of the Enterprise Operations Team. Enterprise Operations is responsible for all infrastructure components for networking, computing, storage, and remote access, to include all security related components and hardening of the production servers.
The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Receptive to having a background investigation completed.
Five years applicable experience coupled with a bachelor's degree. Nine years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Have at least 2-years (uninterrupted) experience with VMware/vSphere servers and environment.
Be familiar with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning
Able to obtain secret clearance
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments
Performing routine audits of systems and software
Performing backups and restores
Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
Installing and configuring new hardware and software
Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.
Have at least 2-years (uninterrupted) operating and configuring DNS (internal and external) and DHCP (infoblox is a plus)
Answering technical queries and dealing with the user community
Managing File Share systems (VM and NAS)
Managing DMZ servers, remote access, and implementing security features
Responsible for securing servers, operating systems, applications, and storage
Responsible for documenting the configuration of the systems
Troubleshooting any reported problems
System performance tuning
Assisting the Exchange Administrator
Manage block and file level storage systems, including capacity management reporting
Work with other Enterprise Operations and CIS members
