Description
Requirements: Extensive background in Unix and Linux systems administration and configuration, especially Redhat Enterprise Linux.
Job Duties: Looking for a candidate to fill a Senior System Administrator opening for Linux/Unix server operating systems. The duties include installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other duties include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems. Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing production environments. Performing routine audits of systems and software. Performing backups and maintenance checks. Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Installing and configuring new hardware and software. Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc …answering technical queries . Responsible for assigned information system security and for documenting and maintaining the configuration of the systems. Performing performance tuning and ensuring that the system and network infrastructure is up and running. Prefer candidate with 10+ years of experience, working in customer environment, and holds aRHCEcertification. Also experience with VMWare and Windows-based systems is desired but not required. Position requires on call support. Candidate must be able to support surge efforts. Candidate must be fully cleared with our customer.
