Description
Pashto Linguists
Must hold a current TS/SCI and CI polygraph clearance. FS poly preferred. Must be willing to take FS polygraph.
DESIRED SKILLS:Excellent research skills, SIGINT experience, proficiency writing analytical reports, and the ability to brief senior analysts. Must be able to work well in a team setting. Must be able to interact with customer at a highly professional level.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS:3/3 DLPT or equivalent scores within the past year. Must have 4 years minimum of experience in translation or interpretation. Prior US Armed Forces uniformed service in Afghanistan or elsewhere in Southwest Asia. Professional proficiency in written and spoken Pashto.
Familiarity with the history, culture, and contemporary political-military affairs of area. Experience and skill in producing basic and estimative finished intelligence products and in providing timely and responsive intelligence support.
JOB DESCRIPTION:Seeking skilled Pashto linguists who have excellent translation skills. Will support analysts on CIED mission. Familiarity with the IC and SIGINT experience required. The candidates must be able to render transcripts and translations in to standard, idiomatic American English. Will perform analysis, fusion, and reporting of intelligence data. Senior Language Analysts will be able to perform as quality controllers for their peers and junior linguists.
