Description

Requirements: High school diploma plus a civilian or military aviation maintenance technical school and a minimum 3 years experience within unit level aircraft maintenance operations. Position requires detail oriented maintenance procedures and good communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of U.S. military aircraft forms & record keeping procedures and be able to read and follow military style technical orders. The ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential. Previous operational deployment with US military unmanned aircraft is highly desired. FAA Airframe & Power plant License, FAA Class II Physical, is desireable. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
This position is located at various CONUS and OCONUS sites. Must be willing to travel.
Job Duties: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on unmanned aerial vehicles. Inspect at regular intervals: airframe, propeller and engine. Diagnose, troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in Unmanned Aircraft Systems propulsion, fuel, payload, and weapon systems components according to pertinent technical manuals, directives and safety procedures. Remove and replace airframe components as needed including aileron servos, flap servos, brake servos, landing gear servos and throttle and waste gate servos. Perform all launch and recovery of aircraft including necessary inspections, starting engine, operational check, installing payloads (cameras, KU, Datalink, SAR, EO/IR), and fueling and de-fueling. Incorporate any TCTOs and other modifications into all aircraft as needed. Interface with customers, military and civilians. Maintain records on all system equipment.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Position may require periodic OCONUS deployments in support of worldwide UAS operations.
