Camber Corporation Senior Military Modeling Simulation Analyst-15809 in Fort Belvoir, Virginia


Duties: Serve as an M&S analyst providing instruction and course development supporting the Army Modeling and Simulation Office (AMSO), Simulation Proponent Division; serve as the instructor team expert for instruction, course design, and development on applying models and simulations to meet the modeling and simulation community objectives. Perform tasks to provide education and training solutions in the areas of modeling and simulation (M&S) operations and the Mission Command Information Systems (MCIS) for Active Component, USAR, and ARNG officers designated Functional Area 57 (FA57) and Government Service employees designated Career Program 36 (CP36). Duties as primary instructor and courseware developer are to teach, train, coach, and mentor soldiers and government civilian personnel in simulation-related courses such as the Simulation Operations Qualification Course (SOC), the Simulation Professional Course (SPC), the Battle Command Officer’s Integration Course (BCOIC) the Intermediate Simulations Course (ISOC), the Advanced Simulation Operations Course (ASOC), and other proponent office developed courses. Continually review, develop, update, and provide oversight to the instructional methodologies and reference materials employed in these courses and recommend/implement changes as required. Coordinate and synchronize all material and resources for the courses. Responsible for education analysis, courseware development, and instruction in order to provide education and training solutions for the Total Army Workforce in the area of Modeling and Simulation. Prepare and write training support packages, lesson plans, and supporting instructional material. Additional duties include researching, analyzing and articulating, both orally and in writing, solutions for lifecycle DOTMLPF issues in support of US Army Functional Area 57 (FA57) and Department of the Army Civilian Career Program 36 (CP 36).

Required Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field

  • 5+ years of experience working issues across the Army’s Acquisition, Experimentation, Testing and Analysis, Sustainment or Intelligence communities

  • 3+ years of experience in US Army’s Analysis, Design, Development and Evaluation (ADDIE) for developing and updating courseware

  • Experience with facilitating government conferences and knowledge of staff operations and processes

  • Experience with the research, development, and revision of training courses and preparation of appropriate training materials. Ability to lead/assist with the preparation of all instructor materials (course manuals, workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and course evaluation forms)

  • Ability to provide expert technical advice and guidance to the FA57/CP36 on the planning, programming, and technical methodologies for the M&S implementation efforts

  • Knowledge of the interrelationships between M&S community of expertise and other communities

  • Ability to develop point papers, briefings, and presentations, and make formal oral presentations of these materials to all levels of government personnel, including GO and civilian equivalent

Desired Qualifications:

  • TRADOC certified instructor

  • Possession of excellent organizational, technical, analytical, and qualitatively and quantitatively critical thinking skills

  • Conduct coordination and collaboration across the government, academia, and industry to research models and simulations that reflect the changes to and the complexity of the operational environment for use in training and combat developments.

  • MEL 4 or equivalent

  • MBA, MA, or MS degree preferred; PHD degree a plus.

Security Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
