UAS Sr. Electro-Mechanical Technician

Requirements

  • The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Minimum of six years’ relevant military and civilian qualification for unmanned aircraft avionics and/or ISR equipment installation and maintenance.

  • Strong background in radio receiver/transmitter technologies is desirable. Additionally, candidates should have:

  • Demonstrated understanding and practice of effective electronic assembly principles and practices including soldering and wiring techniques.

  • Comfortable learning and utilizing state-of-the-art technology and equipment in developing innovative and practical solutions to assembly problems.

  • Experience trouble-shooting complex electronics problems, testing mechanical systems and electronic circuits.

  • Experience with the following is desired:

  • Six (6) years’ experience reading and interpreting schematics and engineering drawings.- Electronic and Radio Frequency Testing Tools (Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, etc.)

  • CAD/Drafting Software (Orcad, Solidworks, etc.)

  • Electrical/electronic equipment specifications (S/N, NF, BER, Noise Figure, etc.)Equipment Package Design (RFI, EMI, shielding, airflow/system cooling power, grounding, etc.)

  • Schematics (schematic capture software, symbols, layout, etc.)

Job duties

  • Support, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform field repairs of systems.

  • Planning and coordinating deployment of collection/processing systems.

  • Interact with local and deployed customers

  • Surge to meet mission requirements that may require after hours, weekend, and holiday support.

  • Work in groups or independently with minimal or no supervision

  • Acquire new skills and provide a wide variety of support services on an as-needed basis.
