Military Personnel Support Specialist

Requirements:

  • The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Active secret security clearance.

  • An associate’s degree in English, general studies, business or related field of study

  • Demonstrated experience and ability to perform general administrative duties to include correspondence control, word processing, conference, meeting and travel arrangements, and report preparation

  • Experience with:

  • Customer service

  • Word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Adobe PDF, Share Point)

  • Human Resources Command (HRC) personnel systems

  • PERSTEMPO processes and procedures

  • Military Awards approval process

  • Proper DA Form 4187 submission

  • Records Management thru ARIMS

  • E/MILPO transaction submission, error correction and understand numerous reports

  • Strength Management

  • DTAS “three tiered” architecture: the Enterprise Database; the Theater Database and the Mobile System

Duties:

  • Review correspondence for accuracy in accordance with pertinent Army regulations.

  • Prepare, in final form, military awards, to include completing necessary forms and certificates and review, for accuracy, awards recommendations submitted by the companies

  • Process Soldier requests and actions to obtain a large variety of entitlements, schools, Foreign Service tour extensions and curtailments.

  • Provide Enlisted Personnel Promotion Processing at Brigade and Battalion level

  • Review PV2-SPC/CPL advancements

  • Process SGT and SSG promotions

  • Process reevaluations

  • Process Exceptions to Policy

  • Conduct Soldier in-processing.

  • Conduct personnel reassignment processing

  • Process reassignment notices or forward to Battalion

  • Process deletion and deferment actions

  • Monitor enlisted PCS reassignment “no shows”

  • Conduct personnel out-processing.

  • Records Management thru ARIMS
