Camber Corporation Drafting Technician - 15491 in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait
The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Active secret security clearance.
Associates degree in drafting, illustration, or a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical/vocational/military training, or work experience.
Minimum of five years’ experience in using computer tools to solve scientific and engineering problems and CADD system use and maintenance. Experience will include operations of similar US Government facilities.
Familiar with applicable construction standards, methods, practices and techniques, materials, and equipment to determine compliance with regulations and standards.
Experience with work classifications and associated regulatory and statutory restrictions with non-appropriated funds.
Familiar with automated data processing concepts, systems capabilities, and economic usage to effective complete assignments.
Experience with project programming, determining types of resources, and long-range planning (Facilities Engineering, Electrical, and Power Engineering personnel)
Familiar with planning, conducting and recording of surveys and reviewing Government inspections. (Facilities Engineering, and Engineering Technician and Drafting personnel)
Experience using CADD system to develop engineering drawings (Engineering Technician and Drafting personnel) for Government review.
Experience with AutoCAD format CADD drafting software
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Familiar with National Electrical, Mechanical, and Building codes.
Experience in trouble shooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Prepares detailed CAD drawings of telecommunications, IT infrastructure, systems to reflect engineering solutions, and to facilitate installation of the telecommunications and IT infrastructure.
Prepares and maintains blueprints, maps, charts, graphs, and other technical drawings.
Prepares detailed drawings of mechanical and electronic components, assemblies, and engineering change orders.
Prepares drawings from detailed notes and specifications.
May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification.
Verifies completed work and checks dimensions, materials to be used, and quantities.
May use a PC or CAD workstation.
May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced drafters.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant tools and equipment as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
